Real Madrid have formally denied making any direct or indirect contact with Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise, his representatives or anyone in his circle.
The club issued the clarification after reports linked Madrid with a possible move for the France international, who remains one of Bayern’s highest-profile attacking players.
In an official Real Madrid statement, the Spanish club said the speculation “does not correspond to reality” and stressed that any interest in a Bayern player would first be handled directly between the two clubs.
Madrid Move To Protect Bayern Relationship
The statement also underlined Madrid’s “excellent institutional relationship” with Bayern Munich, describing a long history of mutual respect, cooperation and admiration between the clubs.
That wording matters because Olise’s name has been circulating during a summer in which Real Madrid have already been active around their first-team rebuild under Jose Mourinho. The denial does not necessarily erase long-term admiration for the player, but it does shut down the idea that talks are already underway.
For Madrid supporters, the immediate takeaway is simple: Olise remains a Bayern player, and the club are publicly distancing themselves from the suggestion of an active approach.
The timing is notable too, with transfer rumours intensifying while Olise is away with France at the World Cup and Madrid reshape their squad for the new campaign.
