Vinicius Junior Decisive For Brazil In 3-0 Haiti Win

Vinicius Junior created one goal, assisted another and scored the third as Brazil beat Haiti 3-0 in Philadelphia on Saturday, 20 June, to move top of Group C at the 2026 World Cup.

The Real Madrid forward was central to all of Brazil’s first-half goals, turning a routine group-stage assignment into another personal statement on the international stage. Real Madrid’s official report credited Vinicius with starting the move for Matheus Cunha’s opener, supplying Cunha for the second and then timing his run behind Haiti’s defence to finish the third before half-time.

Vinicius gives Brazil control of Group C

The result takes Brazil to four points from their opening two matches, level with Morocco but ahead in Group C. Carlo Ancelotti’s side now face Scotland in Miami on Thursday, 25 June, with qualification control in their own hands.

For Madrid supporters, the detail that matters is not just the scoreline but the sharpness of Vinicius. He was named player of the match for the second time at this World Cup, having also taken the award after scoring Brazil’s only goal in the opening draw with Morocco.

Endrick also featured from the bench and almost added a fourth, only for his goal to be ruled out for offside. But this was Vinicius’ night, and Brazil’s World Cup campaign now has a Madrid-driven edge.
