Real Madrid’s Rodrygo Goes has provided an encouraging update on his anterior cruciate ligament rehabilitation, confirming he is meeting all prescribed recovery milestones as he works toward a return to competitive action in early 2027.
“I’m doing very well,” the 25-year-old Brazilian told medical staff and the club’s recovery team. “Honestly, things are going really well. I’m happy with my progress, and I feel better every day.” The forward is in good spirits and tracking to the initial timeline set by Real Madrid’s medical department following his March injury.
The ACL rupture — sustained against Getafe in a shock 1-0 defeat — also damaged Rodrygo’s lateral meniscus and ruled him out of Brazil’s 2026 World Cup campaign. However, the player’s disciplined approach to rehabilitation has allowed him to avoid setbacks that frequently derail long-term injury recoveries.
Real Madrid officials have remained cautiously optimistic throughout his recovery, and the latest milestone achievements suggest the 2026-27 campaign could see Rodrygo available for key moments in the latter half of the season. His return will provide Madrid with additional attacking depth as they pursue La Liga and European honours under Jose Mourinho.
