- Michael Olise impressed the football world with his stellar performance in Real Marid’s 2-1 Champions League quarterfinal defeat to Bayern Munich on Tuesday.
- He also caught President Florentino Perez’s eye according to reports in Germany.
- Olise could become a future Galactico, with Madrid preparing a €160 million bid for the Frenchman.
Real Madrid are interested in signing Bayern Munich star Michael Olise according to respected German journalist Christan Falk.
The Frenchman gave Alvaro Carreras all sorts of trouble on Tuesday, as the Bavarians beat Los Blancos 2-1 at the Bernabeu in the Champions League quarterfinals.
A Ferland Mendy that hasn’t been dribbled past in 15 appearances this season is expected to start the second leg. But Olise could have contact with Madrid beyond the continental decider.
Olise could become a Real Madrid Galactico
After watching Olise outshine Kylian Mbappe, President Florentino Perez is “keen to pursue a deal” for the 24-year-old.
Olise provided the assist for Harry Kane’s goal to make it 2-0, and has notched 29 of them in 2025/2026. At this rate, he’s well on course to beat Lionel Messi’s season-record of 32 in Europe’s five top leagues.
With this in mind, Madrid is considering launching a €160-165 million bid for his services.
How accurate is this report?
While Falk is a respected journalist in German football, it seems difficult to believe that Madrid would be prepared to spend so much money on a player.
At present, the search is on for a midfielder. In that quest, however, Perez is troubled by price tags exceeding €100 million for Vitinha and Enzo Fernandez.
With Olise tied down until 2029, it’ll take a lot of cash for Bayern to sell a star player that Transfermarkt rates at €140 million.
Where would Olise fit in at Real Madrid
Were the coup to materialise, however, Olise would be expected to become a first choice option on the right wing.
This immediately spells bad news for the likes of Rodrygo, Franco Mastantuono, Brahim Diaz and Arda Guler, who fight for minutes there. They’ve all shown versatility in switching to other positions in attack, however.
As for Guler, he also provides midfield options and has started to shine in the centre of the park for both Xabi Alonso and his successor Alvaro Arbeloa.
