  • Fede Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni have again clashed in training.
  • This time, the clash resulted in the Uruguayan having to head to hospital.
  • Team spirit at Real Madrid appears to be rocky ahead of El Clasico.

Real Madrid teammates Fede Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni have clashed in training once more according to MARCA.

Wednesday brought with it reports that the pair had a confrontation in training after a foul in a practice game. The dispute then continued in the changing room at Valdebebas, though nothing more came of it.

On Thursday, though, it seems tensions rose again, with a new incident described as “very serious” by the Spanish newspaper.

An emergency meeting has been held as the club considers taking action. This time round, a scuffle required the intervention of several team members and Valverde having to go to hospital.

Latest Tchouameni and Valverde confrontation much worse

According to MARCA’s sources, the latest bust up between Tchouameni and Valverde was “much worse” than the first.

It immediately triggered a crisis meeting, with not one member of the squad leaving Valdebebas in an attempt to put various conflicts to bed.

The atmosphere behind the scenes at the club is described as one of “maximum tension” with “nerves and internal division” rife.

Worryingly, the latest incident comes after reports of rifts between Antonio Rudiger and Alvaro Carreras plus Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe. It’s worth noting, however, that they took place some weeks ago.

Valverde and Tchouameni are the main protagonists this week. And they’ve chosen the perfect time to be at loggerheads with a league-deciding Clasico against Barcelona just three days away.

The Catalans need a point to secure a third title in four years, and Alvaro Arbeloa needs his men united in order to spoil the party at the Spotify Camp Nou.

Unless fences are mended, Madrid will be certain to go two consecutive seasons without major silverware.
