Real Madrid and Vinicius Junior are scheduled to hold a high-stakes meeting later in July to negotiate a contract extension, according to multiple reports.

The Brazilian winger’s current deal with the Blancos runs until June 30, 2027, but the club are keen to resolve the situation before the player can open pre-contract talks with foreign clubs on January 1.

Vinicius has already rejected at least one offer from Real Madrid and is pushing for a significant salary increase. The 24-year-old is reportedly seeking a salary close to €20 million net per season, a figure that remains a sticking point in negotiations.

However, despite the stalled talks and rejected offer, sources from inside Bernabéu have signalled cautious confidence. Real Madrid leadership is said to have taken encouragement from recent communications with the player’s camp, and a sale was never under consideration.

The meeting is a crucial one for both parties, with the club desperate to keep one of their star assets and Vinicius keen to secure improved terms that reflect his status as one of Europe’s elite wingers.
